Dr. Richard Haass’ topic is “The art and value of diplomacy in an interconnected world.” Haass is the President of the Council on Foreign Relations, a veteran diplomat, and a prominent voice on American foreign policy. His latest book is “The World: A Brief Introduction.” Haass served in the Departments of State and Defense. In 2013 he directed multiparty negotiations in Northern Ireland.
